I grew up in Maoshan Mountain, located near the city of Nanjing, China. I started my journey in genomics at the University of Helsinki in Finland and finished my PhD in bioinformatics at the University of Montpellier in the south of France, where as you can see, I enjoyed the diversity and experienced both temperature extremes. Now, I am a new postdoctoral researcher joining the Feschotte lab to study the landscape of TEs in the mammalian genome in the form of eccDNA. In my free time, I enjoy live concerts and dancing, even though I have no moves, and exploring all of Ithaca’s outdoor activities.
